Snowicide
They’re calling for more snow
to fall from up above.
But that’s ok, my frosty fellow –
I’ve got your flattened metal love.
They’re calling for more snow
to fall from up above.
But that’s ok, my frosty fellow –
I’ve got your flattened metal love.
There aren’t enough hours in the night
for all the things I want to do:
a medley of twilight delights
(and the sleep that I need too).
Try to keep the fire burning
as the world keeps on turning
grinding down our hopes and dreams
oblivious to all our screams.
There are days of sunshine, days of rain,
days of happiness, and those of pain –
I sit there with a smile as I
watch all those beautiful days go by.
I spent my days in solitude
with bitterness and growing spite
but now that I’ve met multitudes
days are tiring but a delight.
When it comes to leading others,
I could use a firmer hand.
But I hate being a bother
so I often let things stand.
I heard of a soul that tried
to reach out by breaking their toys.
Sadly, his wish was denied –
no one could hear him through the noise.
Meeting new people tonight
at a big city meet-up
and hopefully I just might
be able to put my feet up.
I’ve found you after all these years
of wandering with bitter tears
that trickled down my hardened face
that softens now thanks to your grace.
She had on her the smell of ages
and a vivid passion that still rages.
She asked me for a harvest tryst
and it never occurred to me to resist.
