Epitaph
The lost
and forgotten,
there’s no one remaining
who can remember just how well
You lived;
don’t let forgotten memories
make you forget in turn.
You lived. You loved.
You lost.
The lost
and forgotten,
there’s no one remaining
who can remember just how well
You lived;
don’t let forgotten memories
make you forget in turn.
You lived. You loved.
You lost.
I’m weather weary,
and long for halcyon days
that will never come.
The hunter’s bow
Crimson arrow
Pierce the beast’s hide
Pierce the organs inside
Lay my prey low.
Thank you for sharing
your medical history
coffee shop stranger.
I’ve just discovered
hot cocoa with real whipped cream.
I regret this life.
What do you see
when you’re looking at me?
What possible grace
can you find in my face
when I only see acne?
My morning coffee:
blacker than the Devil’s hooves,
and stimulating.
I wish that this dinner
was a culinary winner,
but it turned out so black
I claimed it was attacked
by some kind of sinner.
The sun and the moon
Celestial entities
Heaven-sent bodies
Coffee house patrons,
you bring your troubles in, and
you leave satisfied.
