Happy anniversary
Today marks the 3rd anniversary of the creation of my Tumblr writing blog.
It’s sometimes surprising that what started out as a little project grew into this.
Three years in, 700+ posts. Good times, good times 🙂
Today marks the 3rd anniversary of the creation of my Tumblr writing blog.
It’s sometimes surprising that what started out as a little project grew into this.

I live in the east coast of the US which means I’m in the path of an oncoming hurricane. I already have this week’s posts written but power might go down because of the storm. I will post when I am able but if I miss anything then my power is probably out.
The Storytime Saturday project is complete! Thanks Andrea for all the great prompts – I really enjoyed them 🙂
As for my next step, I’ve decided to keep a M-F schedule for posts. However, I’m going to keep the posts for M/W/F short, probably haikus. The standard length Tuesday and Thursday posts will continue as they have before. I might change this up a little as I adjust to the new schedule but this is what I’m planning on for the next month or so.
Also, I’m still unemployed, still looking for work so please, please, please if you want to help/show your support purchase a copy of my book. It’s available from Amazon here or you can message me and order one of the remaining physical copies.
And finally, feel free to drop me a line sometime. Leave a comment, make a request, start up a conversation – I don’t bite 😉
You can help by purchasing a Kindle version of my first book here or order a hard copy by emailing me at deuscain@gmail.com (limited supplies).
Please check out my book in the Amazon Kindle store by following the link: here. The price is $3.99 and it’s free to borrow for Amazon Prime users.
Thanks 🙂
There’s no easy way to say this: recent events have left me without a job. It was a bit of a surprise but, in a way, I’d been expecting it for a while. I’ll be alright but I’m adjusting at the moment.
That being said, I now have additional time on my hands to write and I intend to use it. So…
1) I’ll be catching up on some writing prompts I’ve promised I would complete (I didn’t forget Andrea)
2) I will try to increase how much I post in a week – no promises to the volume though. I do have job searching to do.
3) I will get better about answering messages on my feed. I usually replied to them privately but I do reply – don’t be shy folks 😉 Let me know if you don’t want something posted publicly though.
4) If you would like to help, I would appreciate if you bought a copy of my book. You can purchase it from the Kindle store here or request one of the remaining hard copies (limited number remaining – first come, first served)
5) Submit a request. I’d like to hear what you lovely people would like to see 🙂
Also, I’ll be around on Skype today if anyone wants to pop in and say “hi”. My name there is Deuscain.
In this segment of “Get to know the author”, I want to show you the different ways I sometimes interpret a single concept. Please let me know what you think of the poem below and check back Tuesday for the alternate version ^_^

So, yeah. This happened.
I wanted to go into a little more detail for this next poem so that you all could have a chance to get to know the person behind the poems. Below are two variations of my new poem, Pandemonium. The difference between the two, however, is the spacing of the line-breaks. I wanted to show you all what effect of such a small change can have as well as the level of thought I put into the poetry I write for this blog. I hope you enjoy – and please feel free to let me know which variant you prefer 🙂
